About

Welcome to our blog! We’re Andrew and Emma, a couple of free-spirited, boho, ‘see where-the-world-takes-us’ types, whose only concern is where the next day’s cycling is going to take us, and which life-changing experience we’ll have this week*.

We’re exploring SE Asia on our tandem, aiming to pedal through as much of SE Asia before we head home for Bup’s** 100th birthday.

  1. Hi there.

I’m founder of http://www.walkedthru.com – which is actually a blog community. We’re currently recruiting bloggers, of all subjects and professions to contribute.

I think your blog is a fantastic example of what we are looking for – it is fun, specific, informative, and well written, with great imagery.

So with that I would love to invite you to visit our community, and to ask you if you would like us to list your blog under WalkedThru South East Asia perhaps?

    Regards

    Hey tandem riders,

I hope you made it to Gua Musang yesterday. In the Highlands it was raining heavily nearly the whole day, so it must have been quite tough for you…
I am now in Kuala Lipis, nice town indeed and tomorrow I will cycle to Kuala Tahan.
Enjoy your ride and may be see you again on the east coast!

    Cheers,
    Andy

      Hey Andy

We’re still on Pulau Perinth – desert island bliss! And not as expensive as we feared. We’re heading down the coast from tomorrow (22nd) over 4 or 5 days all the way to the Tiomans – you likely to be on the coast then?

    See my post about it.

Oops – forgot to tick the box to be notified of follow-up – in case there is any 🙂

Hello again. I know you’re not blogging at the moment, maybe not even getting notification of comments. But your blog is still worth reading so I nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. There’s a post about it on my blog. Also I’m keeping your blog close by for info as we go to Cambodia NYE. Currently on a beach in Thailand.
    Cheers

      Hi Alison
We’ve not looked at the blog for yonks, and was mortified (as we hadn’t replied!) to see you’ve been pinging us messages with no response over the months! Thanks for all the positive feedback and nominations. We’ve just done a year anniversary of our return to real life with a week (only!) camping and wining in Burgundy – bliss!

Hi Andy and Emma, We are the Australians you met at the campsite in Beaume, France this week (July 2013). I hope your travels continue well. We will be buying our tandem soon and will head off either to the Americas or to Asia. Your blog is awesome and has given us some great ideas! Cheers, Andy and Kate.
